Givenchy creates cheap clothes

World economic crisis encourages fashionable marks to forget about the concept of uniqueness and to pay more attention to mass market. Instead of advertising next unique and exclusive creation, they try to become more accessible.
Givenchy fashion designer Riccardo Tisci has already created and has prepared anti-crisis collection under name Redux, which is consisting of snow-white blouses, leather jackets, and stylish footwear. The most pleasant fact is that, that the collection will be issued for several times: Givenchy plans to create and show its twice a year. The debut of a democratic line of known mark will take place this autumn. Clothes will be on sale since October. It is declared, that the prices for products will start from $350.
Recently traditionally expensive brand Dolce&Gabbana has also decided to review their price police. Three hundred fifty dollars for a magnificent design clothes sounds very seductively!


Just Cavalli: spring-summer 2009

Despite bankruptcy of company Ittierre, which are letting out c “younger” collections of Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, Just Cavalli continues to replenish with new collections.
The season in collection Just Cavalli was marked with spring-summer sports style: Cavalli has tried to make a collection both stylish and practical simultaneously.
However, it does not mean, that the collection is intended only for day time: Cavalli has provided some evening dresses. The collection 2009 Just Cavalli has received spring-summer name «Back to Nature».
«Back to Nature» is expressed in Cavalli’s favorite animalistic prints - dresses, tops and trousers are decorated with strips of zebra and leopard spots.
Dresses, which have entered into a collection, are fitting a figure with gentle silk - they remind of rather popular style of middle eightieth. As a whole the collection is quite eclectic - its elements vary from dresses in retro style to youth tops with bright graphic prints and color jeans.


Forbes: mini-bikinis are out of fashion

Forbes magazine writes that this summer season considerably open bathing suits known as mini-bikini have got out of fashion in the USA.
Now retro style models - closed bathing suits for the ladies, long swimming trunks for the gentlemen, reminding old 60-s fashion, - are taking leading positions.
Nevertheless forgotten models have modern prints and materials.
However, as Forbes marks, the price for a bathing suit in retro style has overtaken time. For example, the price for closed bathing suit from Azzaro Flottilles in New York makes $900 - in 1950-1960  it was possible to buy the quite good car for this money.
Earlier magazine has already informed that the economic crisis has forced women to refuse sexual underwear in favor of comfortable and practical clothes.


Philippe Starck will design clothes

Well-known interior designer Philippe Starck, what creations are well-known for impudent minimalism and conceptual image, has decided to design clothes.
World-known brand Ballantyne, which is letting out expensive and qualitative cashmere, has helped Philippe Starck to realize idea of creation of own collection of clothes. Collection will be created both for men, and for women.
The project which has received name Starck With Ballantyne, is created to embody on purpose a combination of multifunctionality of subjects and the modern details created on new technologies. The designer has embodied his ideas in 30 subjects of clothes, which are made not only of cashmere, but also of other modern and technological fabrics that should be expected from Stark.
Nevertheless collection is still kept in secret. As it has become known, it has some clothes, made of fluorescent silk, cashmere jackets with a hood, outer clothing, and also cozy soft waistcoats. It is obvious, that the collection is intended for a cold time; therefore it will be on sale at Ballantyne shops in autumn.

Since March, 9 till March, 12th, 2009, Fashion House IRFE has presented new collection «ROCK&SHIK!» in Paris.
After representation of legendary dresses IRFE in June, 2008, new collection of this House, no doubt, belongs to the world of Fashion.
Collection harmoniously combines two themes: the embodiment of mobile, gentle, soft, comfortable clothes, another one- constructive, rigid, provocative style.

Milan Menswear Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week has opened with scandal. Representatives of two famous Italian Houses have had an argument: well-known couturier Giorgio Armani has accused not less well-known colleagues Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana of the most terrible crime for creative people - plagiarism.
Legendary fashion designers have argued because of silk quilted trousers, which have shown on podium Dolce &Gabbana. Next day, after the demonstration of line Emporio Armani, Giorgio  Armani has not failed to notice, that spectators already could contemplate precisely same trousers one year ago, when the designer represented collection «autumn-winter 2008-2009» in Milan.
Let’s remind that this year in connection with a global economic crisis two known brands - Valentino and Marni - left Milan Fashion Week. Nevertheless, collections of such well-known marks, as Versace, Prada, Roberto Cavalli and many others have been already shown.
Mentioned above Dolce & Gabbana, Milan Menswear Fashion Week provokers, have preferred dark colors: black, dark blue, brown and grey, having added some details of military and avant-guard style.
In comparison with Cavalli, which has distracted spectators from dark thoughts, Prada’s collection was rather gloomy: “prison” music of model caused strange feelings.
Metal details decorated footwear. Rough provincial boots became must-have in man’s collection.


Louis Vuitton became the most expensive luxury-brand

Cost of French brand Louis Vuitton is estimated in more than $21 billion. Well-known mark has appeared the most expensive in the rating of the companies, making luxury goods, and has reached the level of the largest world companies of national value.
The rating of the most expensive luxury-brands, made by company Interbrand, includes 15 companies, the majority of which are from France, Switzerland and Italy. So, after Louis Vuitton, which cost has made, by estimations Interbrand, 21,6 billion dollars, the Italian mark Gucci has taken the second position. Its cost has exceeded $8 billion. Closes three Chanel, estimated in $6,3 billion.
The only American company, mentioned in the list, - Tiffany&Co - costs $4,2 billion and it is on the 7th place (by the way specialists predict bankruptcy of the glorified jeweler company). It follows such companies as Rolex ($4,9 billion), Hermes ($4,5 billion) and Cartier ($4,2 billion). Prada and Ferrari, estimated in $3,5 billion, and also mark Bvlgari - $3.3 billion, are also in the first ten leaders.
Swiss watch brand Patek Philippe has appeared on 13th place, having capitalization in $1,1 billion. It shares following positions with Burberry ($3,2 billion), Dior ($2 billion), Zegna ($818 million) and Ferragamo ($722 million).
